Bio

I am a first-year PhD in the University of Leeds.

My research will look at the conflicting discourses surrounding the release of contaminated/treated water from Fukushima between South Korea and Japan. In this research, I will examine how historical legacies in Northeast Asia can affect different perceptions of (in)security/risk of this environmental challenge. Broadly, I am also interested in theories in Security Studies, Northeast Asian security dynamics, and nuclear politics and nuclear waste in East Asia.
