I am currently Assistant Professor of Chinese at Valparaiso University, where I teach Chinese language, literature, and film. I am also the coordinator of our Asian Studies program.
I have broad research interests in global speculative fiction, and I'm currently working on a book project on contemporary Chinese science fiction. Beyond this current research, I am interested in branching out into Taiwan Studies and helping Taiwan gain more recognition in U.S. academia and private sectors.
