Dr. Sanjay Kumar Chandani is an academic and researcher specializing in Gender Studies, Internet and Society, and Digital Media. He holds a PhD in Sociology from CSJM University, Kanpur, where his dissertation focused on “Internet: The New Dimension of Communication in Social Change.” Over the years, he has served in various teaching and research roles, including Assistant Professor positions at Saraswati Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kanpur and Brainware University, Kolkata.
Currently, he is Associate Professor at Jagran Institute of Management and Mass Communication (JIMMC), Kanpur, where he teaches Internet and New Media. Dr. Chandani has presented papers at prestigious international forums such as the World Social Science Forum (Montreal, 2013) and the European Sociological Association Conference (Turin, 2013), and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. His work explores themes of digital hegemony, social networking platforms, gender, and cultural change.
He has received research scholarships and travel grants from UGC and ISSC, and is also skilled in web designing and digital tools, integrating new media technologies into academic practice.
