Hello! I am seeking discussants and/or a chair for a roundtable on supporting cross-disciplinary student engagement in Asian studies, particularly in universities or academic programs without substantial Asia expertise among faculty. The idea for the roundtable is for faculty or students who have worked to strengthen engagement with Asian studies and support students' interests in Asia to share what has been successful in areas such as supporting students' research, expanding the university's engagement with Asia, strengthening faculty expertise, etc. I or one of my colleagues would likely join as a discussant to speak about our experience forming a student-led organization and providing peer mentorship and networking through prior professional connections.
