Dear Colleagues,
We're organizing a panel addressing topics related to media, Japan-Korea relations, colonial Korea, and post-colonial legacy, tentatively titled "Legacies of circulation: Representations and Mediations of Intellectual Exchange between Imperial Japan and Colonial Korea"
Currently, the panel has three papers, and we're looking for an additional presenter and a discussant to add coherence and diversity to the panel. Our current topics are as follows:
- Colonial Korea and Korean students depicted in a Japanese TV drama series
- Media by Korean students in Japan during the colonial era
- Books and the legacy in Japan-Korea relations
We're also searching for discussants whose expertise is Korea-Japan relations or/and colonial Korea. If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please feel free to contact Sunyoung Kwak (skwak@inf.shizuoka.ac.jp).
