Hi everyone, my name is Siwei Wang and I am a fourth-year PhD Candidate in Comparative Literature at Princeton University. I am trying to put together a panel at AAS 2026 with my colleague Yiming Ma (UCSB East Asian Languages and Cultural Studies), and our theme is "Reading Marx Across Asia." A detailed CFP is attached below.

Currently, we have three speakers and their respective topics are: Marxist ecology and the early PRC; Russian Marxism's impact on China; Malaysian fiction in relation to Chinese capital and postsocialism. We are seeking one more panelist to join us.

If you believe your research aligns with our agenda, please email me (sw8329@princeton.edu) or Yiming (yimingma@ucsb.edu) with a brief bio (100 words) and an abstract (200-250 words) by July 18, 2025

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

    Thank you,

    Siwei
