We are seeking one additional presenter for a panel proposal on transformations in medicine and healthcare in modern China and the transpacific world.
The current papers explore acupuncture after 1949; medical workers' changing ideas and professional identities during China's transition from collective healthcare to out-of-pocket payment; and US–Asia scientific and medical connections from a multispecies perspective.
We welcome historically grounded papers related to healthcare reform, medical knowledge and practice, professional identity, transpacific exchange, or environmental and multispecies approaches to medicine. Or if you have an interest on our panel, please don not hesitate to send us a message.
