A panel proposal on state-society relations in North Korea tentatively titled "Between Leviathan and Paper Tiger: New Perspectives on State-Market Relations in North Korea" is seeking a chair/discussant. Since AAS allows for paper presenters on other panels to fill such a role in addition to their presentation commitment, someone already part of another panel proposal would be fine. Ideally, we'd like it to be someone who is comfortable with academic Korean since one of our presenters (herself originally from North Korea) will present in Korean with accompanying translation (logistics TBD), but it's not a must.
