Dear all,
We are seeking one additional panelist for a panel focused on the effects of physical distance on borderland management in Qing-era China. Currently, there are three papers that explore how perceptions, experiences, and the materiality of distance influenced Qing statecraft. These papers mainly focus on Qing Mongolia and Tibet, and we welcome someone with expertise in other borderland regions of the Qing as well. If interested, please contact Lan Wu at lwu@mtholyoke.edu. I am happy to discuss it further.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Best regards,
Lan Wu
