Hi, I am Patrick Du, a Ph.D. student in the Department of EALC at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I am looking to join a panel proposal, or find a co-organizer to build one for the AAS 2027 annual conference.

My research focuses on religious Confucianism in late imperial China, and I am currently working on a project about the Wenchang Cult (文昌信仰) during the Qing dynasty. My broader research interests include Chinese intellectual history, Chinese religions, and Confucianism.

If you are organizing a panel that aligns with these themes and have an open slot for a paper presenter, or if you are interested in co-organizing a new panel proposal together, please reach out to me at zhanqiu2@illinois.edu. Thank you!
