We are seeking a scholar to explore the core values of Confucianism in relation to intergenerational and cross-regional changes and paradigm shifts, based on experiences from Japan or Vietnam.

Our team will outline the knowledge discourse and social practices regarding ideal bodies, aging, and death influenced by Confucianism in various Asian countries. In this interactive group, we will draw insights from China, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, and other Asian nations, incorporating classical Confucian texts, literary poetry, dance, and the expertise of members in the field of elderly care. Together with the audience, we aim to discuss the core values of Confucian identity through embodied learning of culture, exploring the changes and paradigm shifts across generations and regions.

If you are interested, please send your paper title, abstract, and email address to me. Thank you.
