I am looking for a panel to join. My research focuses on elderly women's presentation on Rednote.
Rednote is a prominent player among China's current social media platforms, with a large number of elderly female users and elderly female-related posters. The platform not only provides females with a space to share their lives and exchange insights but also serves as a vital stage for elderly women to show themselves and seek recognition, due to its anonymous features and the characteristic of open feedback on topics. elderly women on Rednote exhibit a phenomenon of fragmentation between self-presentation and other-presentation. This paper focuses on elderly women on the Rednote platform, selects relevant topics related to elderly women on Rednote as research objects, and uses methods such as content analysis and quantitative research to analyze the content related to self-presentation and other-presentation of elderly women on Rednote.
