This anthology invites the young and enthusiastic writers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the global South Asian diaspora, to submit stories centered on third-generation memories of 1947 Partition - remembered, retold, and reimagined through the lived experiences of the first generation, as transmitted across borders, cultures, and time. With an approach rooted in revisionist history, we particularly welcome narratives that challenge dominant historiographies, shed light on lesser-known personal and collective experiences in ways they shape identity, belonging, and memory.
(About the publisher, we're in conversation with two leading university presses in the U.S., in order to offer this work a more global platform and visibility. We'll be sure to share more concrete details as the editorial timeline takes shape.)
