    Dear Dr Felix Erdt.

I am Binh, a postdoctoral researcher from BRIN, Indonesia. I am interested in joining your panel. I am researching global citizenship education in the context of international economic integration in Vietnam and Indonesia. I can contribute an abstract on the prospects of cosmopolitanism and global citizenship education with preliminary findings from my field study with educators in Vietnam and Indonesia in 2025. Please let me know.

    Best wishes.

    Dear Dr Erdt,

My name is Hanzhi Dai and I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in History at University of Edinburgh. My ongoing research is on the "return" of the Chinese Nationalist regime after 1945, and the destabilization of social fabrics that had incurred. I would be very glad to participate in your panel given my interest in the broader picture of Cold War history and social governance. I could contribute a paper on: 1. the returning "wounded soldiers" as a contested, disabled community who threatened public security. Or 2. The cooling of wartime economic overheat in China's southwestern rear, eastward return of the labourers, and the botched attempt of the state to bring settlement. Both would be closely aligned to your proposed panel topic, and I am happy to provide paper abstracts for further discussions.

    With best wishes,

    Hanzhi Dai

Thank you for sharing the call for participation. I am writing to express my strong interest in joining your panel on Governance in the Postwar/Cold War Period.

I am a Senior Lecturer in the International Relations Programme at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia. My research expertise lies in small-state grand strategy, regional and international security, Cold War diplomacy, and state-society relations in Southeast and East Asia. I am particularly interested in how Cold War alignments, statecraft, and foreign policy decisions shaped postcolonial governance structures and social transformations across the region.

My recent work includes examining Malaysia's foreign policy evolution and its grand strategy in navigating the interests of major powers, with particular attention to security, diplomacy, and ideological competition during the Cold War. I believe my perspective would complement your panel's objectives, particularly from a Southeast Asian standpoint.

I would be delighted to contribute as a presenter and welcome the opportunity to engage with fellow scholars from Academia Sinica and Tunghai University. Please let me know if you require any additional materials or details.

    Warm regards,
    Ikhram

    Dear Dr. Erdt,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Jie He, a PhD Candidate in the Translation Research and Instruction Program at Binghamton University, USA. I am writing to inquire whether you are still seeking additional presenters for your proposed panel on Governance in the Postwar/Cold War Period.
I would be honored to join your panel and have attached my bio and abstract in my email for your consideration. My paper examines the role of translation as a form of governance during the U.S. Occupation of Japan (1945-1952), a pivotal moment in shaping Cold War regional politics in East Asia.
Please let me know if my proposal aligns with your panel's theme.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
    Best regards,
    Jie
